Students enrolled in, or graduates from, a two-year Process Technology (PTEC™) or Instrumentation degree program can apply for paid student internships with BP Exploration and Production, INEOS Olefins and Polymers, USA, or Shell Exploration & Production Company. If you are interested in an internship, please read the Internship Guide for PTEC™ Students for a better understanding of what an internship involves.
Onshore internships are offered periodically throughout the year and each company has different requirements to apply for an internship.
Register online at www.bp.com/careers/usu. When the webpage opens, click on Technician Internships in the box on the right-hand side of the page to view internship opportunities and register. BP encourages students and graduates to register, even if an internship position is not currently listed. They will contact registered applicants by e-mail when internships are available. BP internships are for 10 to 12 weeks and may be located at an onshore oil and gas facility in several different locations throughout the United States.
Shell Exploration & Production Company (SEPCo) offers paid internships to students who are interested in learning about the Offshore or Onshore production operations environment.
